The first Open Day for 2010 was a great success as usual and saw approx 70 + people through the gate. The weather was kind to us and a lovely warm sunny day was enjoyed under the shade of the gum trees. At this Open Day, guests were treated to a Barefoot Trimming demonstration performed by local Barefooter, Michael Bekker. Michael travels quite some distance up and down the coast trimming all sorts of horses and says that our Heritage Horses display excellent examples of naturally sound and anatomically correct  hooves. We thank Michael for his time and expertise and welcome him back again at any time! Guests were also able to watch Horsemanship displays by Digby Foster who uses kind methods to achieve great results with horses that have had little, or no, previous handling. Digby regularly conducts these demos at our Open Days and anyone interested in good horsemanship is encouraged to watch Digby in action. We had Sharron Foster from Bellingen Saddlery come up with her mobile store,a car-boot sale and of course, Dinny's famous canteen lunch and snacks. Several horses were sold to excellent homes and we wish their new owners all the best with them!
